Producer & President of MWWA ... Siti Rohayah Attan

GRADUATED from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), she was an editor in Utusan Malaysia til 11th January 2004 after 10th years of service. She directed several theatres, among which are Mencari Juita (1998), Akulah Perempuan Itu (1998) and Bulan Menangis (2003).
Entrusted by National Literati, Datuk Noordin Hassan, she directed Pelayaran Nur Atma (1999). and then Dejavu Seorang Perempuan, a work by Ismail Kassan in 1999. This theatre was shown three times in 1999, January 2004 (which was renamed Dejavu) and in September 2004 in Istana Budaya. She also directed Nyonya, a work by an Indonesian writer, Wisran Hadi in 2004, which was staged both in Kuala Lumpur and Seremban.
Besides that, she also directed other stage performances such as Utusan Poetry Night which was attended by former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad (1996) who recited Perjuangan Yang Belum Selesai. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi also took part in the event directed by her in May 2003.
She is also the producer for theatres such as Nyonya (Kedah 2007, Istana Budaya KL 2008), Lantai T. Pinkie (in Istana Budaya and Perak 2006), Anugerah (2002/1996), Lantai T.Pinkie (2000/1997/1996), Kereta Kencana (special performance by Rendra from Indonesia -1998), Taman Baginda (1998) and Assyura (1997).
Born in Melaka, she obtained lots of experience in the field of theatre internationally. She represented Malaysia to Bogor (2000/2001), Indonesia for Drama Writing Workshop organized by South East Asia Literature Assembly, ASEAN Theatre Festival in Brunei (1994) and had excursions and seminars in USA, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, France and Phillipines.
Revolving in the concept of feminism, she produced novels like Cinderella, Romoe & Juliet, Meniti Ranjau Kasih, Trilogi Wajah Wanita, Di Sini Luruhnya Musim Kasih, Primadona Minden, Kasih dan Airmata, She’s Is Johana and many others. She was also involved in television drama scripts like Mencari Al-Zahra, Hujan Di Hati Kamariah, Mama Rock Skuter Merah among others.
